The city of Sheffield is divided into the Red of United and the Blue of Wednesday, requiring the SSC branding to be distinct but also neutral to these two camps.
SSC are keen to raise awareness of their services around the Sheffield area so my goal was to design a logo that was immediately recognisable. Along with the business cards that I designed, I also had to ensure that the logo was adaptable for a variety of printing needs including stationary, clothing and advertisements.
Sheffield is also home to many thriving sporting clubs and competitions (including The World Snooker Championships), so I felt that the neither the website nor the branding should draw too heavily upon a footballing influence. The resulting homepage of the site pays homage to a number of sports and really draws attention to the great work in which Sheffield Sports Chaplaincy is involved.
