Hi,
I’m Jonny Rae-Evans and live in sunny ol’ Manchester, United Kingdom. I’ve worked in the digital industry for the last fifteen years, with experience in service design, UX design, branding and user research. I’ve run a few award-winning design teams, and was most recently Head of Product Innovation at the Big Lottery Fund.
I’m passionate about designing products and services that make a meaningful difference to lives of people. Design has the ability to inspire and to delight. It also has the ability to frustrate and cause damage. You see, design matters. If you read my blog posts or my writing over at Reply, you’ll find that I’m usually hammering on about just how important design is, and the responsibility that designers have to put good things into the world.
In 2015 I co-founded the organisation Tech for Good Live and co-host their weekly podcast. I’m also a writer and producer on their special documentary series.
I’m in international speaker on the topics of Design Ethics, UX Design, and User Research. If you would like to book me for a speaking engagement, please email me directly.
I’m only taking on a limited number of freelance projects this year. If you have a great project that you’re excited about and want to hire me to work with you (or simply want to know more about me), please feel free to get in touch.
